For me, Camas is a one-of-a-kind city. It has a rich heritage. It has a bright future.
After raising my two daughters here and seeing them return to raise their own families, my commitment to our residents, businesses, and environment is greater than ever.
Our community has many opportunities ahead as we rebuild from a season of challenge and change. I share your hopes for economic stability, downtown vitality, local jobs, sensible taxes, and homes for our loved ones.
On this complicated road ahead, I will bring the depth of knowledge and breadth of experience necessary to lead us forward.
Please take the time to read about both my business and governmental experience. My 41-year career in business management, 27 years of civic involvement, and 16 years of city leadership as a council member have given me a unique perspective of the many ways Camas has continued to thrive.
At the center of it all are exceptional people with a passion for our community. Together, through open communication and mutual respect, I know we will return to our strong roots. My longstanding passion for this community and belief in our city’s future have inspired me to seek the honor of serving as your mayor. I would be humbled by your vote this November.

I have lived in Camas for 27 years. My wife Mary Beth and I have been married for 44 years. We have two daughters who also live in Camas with their families.
Our daughter Lisa and her husband Keith recently had their third child. Our daughter Shannon and her husband Brent have three children as well. Mary Beth and I enjoy spending time with our family. Many days, some, or all, of our grandkids are over, playing in our backyard.
Mary Beth and I very much enjoy soccer. We both coached our daughters' soccer teams as they were growing up, and I had the pleasure of announcing CHS soccer games for 20 years. We frequent Portland Timbers matches as well.
Most weekend mornings you will find me in downtown Camas getting my morning coffee and meeting with friends.
